Real knee-friendly programming has three layers: (1) drop loaded knee flexion past 90° (deep squats, lunges, jump squats), (2) prefer closed-chain bodyweight or machine-supported variants (wall sit > free squat, leg press > barbell back squat), (3) acute window awareness — under 12 weeks post-op needs a tighter pool than month 6.
