- •600 g beef chuck (cubed)
- •2 large onion (diced)
- •2 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
- •0.5 tsp hot paprika (optional)
- •1 tsp caraway seeds (crushed)
- •3 clove ail
- •1 medium tomato (chopped)
- •1 medium green bell pepper (diced)
- •500 g potatoes (cubed)
- •1200 ml beef broth
- •1 leaf bay leaf
- •2 tbsp sunflower oil or lard

- 1.Sear beef cubes in lard/oil 6 min, set aside.
- 2.Sauté onions same pan 12 min until golden.
- 3.Off heat, stir in paprika + caraway (do not burn).
- 4.Return beef + tomato + bell pepper + garlic + broth + bay.
- 5.Simmer covered 90 min.
- 6.Add potatoes; cook 25 min more.
- 7.Adjust salt; rest 10 min before serving.
