Ingrédients

  • 400 g potatoes (russet)
  • 60 g oignon
  • 1 large œuf
  • 3 tbsp matzo meal
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 tsp sel
  • 100 g unsweetened applesauce (side)

Étapes

  1. 1.Grate potatoes and onion on the large holes of a box grater. Squeeze through a clean tea-towel to remove as much liquid as possible.
  2. 2.Transfer to a bowl, beat in the egg, matzo meal and salt.
  3. 3.Heat oil in a wide pan over medium-high heat.
  4. 4.Drop heaping tablespoons of batter into the oil, flatten with the back of a spoon. Fry 2-3 min per side until deep golden.
  5. 5.Drain on paper towels, plate with a side of applesauce.
