Ingredientes

  • 200 g buckwheat groats
  • 300 g lean beef stew chunks
  • 100 g cebolla
  • 100 g zanahoria
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 leaf bay leaf
  • 500 ml beef broth or water
  • 1 to taste salt and black pepper

Pasos

  1. 1.Brown beef chunks in oil over high heat 5 min, transfer to a plate.
  2. 2.Lower heat. Sweat onion in the same pot 5 min, add grated carrot, cook 3 more min.
  3. 3.Return beef, pour in broth, add bay leaf. Cover and simmer 40 min until beef is tender.
  4. 4.Rinse buckwheat, add directly to the pot. Stir, cover, cook 18 min until liquid absorbed.
  5. 5.Rest 5 min off heat. Fork-fluff and serve.
